The OTC get to it. It is Roman Reigns birthday. Happy 40th birthday. Yeah. Roman Reigns. Also notable Friday night was would have been Bray Wyatt's birthday. That's probably the biggest reason we had the white six return. Probably because I don't know that creative has anything for him yet. Right. But we won't start with Smackdown because well, that'd be silly. We'll go ahead and start with Raw and a fairly exciting week on Raw.

leading up to a kind of all right, Saturday night's main event. I was at a friend's house. I could not catch it. That's all right. You only missed one or two things. hang on a second. All right.

We've got in the wrong place. Raw Logan Paul opens up the show. you. Logan Paul just basically said he's going to beat Jay for the championship at Saturday night's main event. And he claimed to have knocked out J.U. So three times and claims to do it again. Yeah, that was a great, super exciting promo. Yeah, sure. Seems like it. Logan just isn't there for me.

In the head? as a character? In-ring, we've been over this a hundred times. In-ring, think he's great. I'm not sure he's that good promo wise. Right. And I don't know, just his whole persona is just his whole Logan Paul persona, which annoys the shit out of me. Yeah. So JD McDonough, Finn Balor versus AJ Styles and Penta. I'm assuming that was a fantastic match. It was a very good match. And guess who showed up?

Excuse me. I saw a segment of her talking to EO saying that she's coming for that title. Who is Becky? Well, she can come for it all she wants.

I know. It's one of those things where she came back. It's kind of like Charlotte. She came back. She used to be hot and hot as in wrestling. Okay. was going to say that as in, my God, she's hot, but hot as in wrestling wise. And I'm just not, I'm just not feeling it anymore for them. Both of them. I think they'll have solid careers on the main roster as well.

They've been they've been injured since before their mania match. Oh, so both of them worked that match injured. They worked the rest of this stuff injured and now they're working Saturday night's main event in a cage. Yeah, which we'll get to that here in a few minutes, but was a brutal match with a ending that's going to keep somebody away for a little while. Which the way you worded that to me, by the way, over text, I thought McIntyre did the thing.

I'm realizing that now after seeing clips. I'm like, that's what he meant. All right. So we're going to get into Saturday Night's main event. I think she catches Chelsea right in the nose You know knowing Chelsea she's gonna do a Cody Rhodes gimmick with the come out. Yeah, except It might be like Seamus had like the gist of black one not necessarily clear no, it's gonna be like red white and blue. So she

Code red from the top was pretty sweet. He's been doing that a lot lately. That was a it looked pretty nasty. It was great. John Cena beats R-Truth in another short match. Well, it was a little longer honestly than I expected it to be. It's R-Truth. But they teased for half a second. I saw that. Cena goes to hit him with the belt and Truth just turns around and stares at him and Cena gets the look on his face where all the anger just drops away and he's like, oh shit, what am I doing?

To me, it's looking it looks and feels more like AEW and has always been a big problem of mine. They cannot do good long term storytelling. Right. Every once in a while they hit that they hit it. They do something that's decent that takes a while to pan out. But

It's just, hey, let's throw on a dream match. Let's throw on a dream match. Let's throw on a dream match. Let's throw on a dream match. And that's great. That's great. Everybody loves to see dream matches. But when there's no reason to invest on, hey, you know what? If I skip two episodes of this show, it doesn't matter because I can come back in and there's no real storyline to follow. Right. mean, except the only real storyline going on right now is the Don Gallus family. No, no, There's one more. And this is why AEW is not good at long term storytelling.

The Death Riders is the worst story in pro wrestling right now. And it's the longest running story they have. It's horrible. It's written horrible. Nobody likes it. I think I had a dream that Marina Shafir beat Mox for the title. Everybody is done with it. Everybody's done with Mox and his I have to blade and be a tough guy and extreme everything nonsense. Right. It's it's just not good. So to me, you already have a ridiculously bloated roster.

Which you know, we just talked about because we forgot the Grizzled Young Veterans were on there. Grizzled Young Veterans are an amazing tag team. Ace and I both forgot that they were in AEW because they have so many people that they can't showcase what they have. when you when you have this many people and then you decide, hey, you know how we're going to put on our next pay-per-view? Let's bring in a bunch of people from another promotion on top of all these guys we got and not showcase the guys we have here.

I don't know. Some people that they have gotten from another company have actually signed like Mina Shirakawa recently signed with AEW. Yeah, great. So there's another addition to their roster when it's already stacked full of people that they can't use. I suppose. I was going to mention, you talked about the Grizzled Young Veterans. This might be another maddening take. You were upset that there's nobody that seems to be able to beat the Hertz syndicate. Yeah.

I think they are a formidable tag team. I'll give you that one. That looks like they would be able to beat the Herb Syndicate. 100 % give you that one. But again, forgot they were there because they're not utilized. So that's another formidable tag team that you have along with FTR that you're just not utilizing correctly to enhance your tank team division. Yeah. It seems absolutely crazy to me that you actually have some of this talent and then just don't use it. Yeah.

So, agree with us, don't agree with us, that's okay. us, love the fun is. Just listen to us, that's all we ask. That's the motto. Yeah, we'll get some swag made up of that.
